Huaguang Lu DVM, MS, MPVM is in an internationally recognized expert in veterinary medicine and avian viruses. Dr. Lu helps clients implement mitigation strategies and control outbreaks of avian viral diseases. He was a Clinical Professor and Avian Virologist in the Animal Diagnostic Lab at Penn State University for almost 30 years and is honored Professor Emeritus and Academy Professor by the University after his recent retirement. Dr. Lu led the Avian Virology Section of the Animal Diagnostic Lab when it provided crucial support to the Pennsylvania poultry industry during avian influenza outbreaks during the late 90s and early 2000s. He has also worked internationally as a consultant for the UN FAO, APHIS-USDA, and USAID where he provided emergency assistance for the control of avian viruses. Dr. Lu is continuously working with poultry industries and veterinary research institutes nationally and internationally.
