Qing Zhang, Ph.D. is an internationally recognized expert in automation and AI for agriculture. At Bold Bio, Dr. Zhang helps clients assess new technologies and transition to smarter and more automated systems in agriculture and beyond that drive greater efficiencies while lowering costs. Previously, he has served as a technical consultant for Caterpillar, Deere & Company, and CNH. In addition to his work with Bold Bio, Dr. Zhang is the Director of the Center for Precision and Automated Agricultural Systems (CPAAS) and is a Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Automation in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering at Washington State University. He is a senior member of numerous distinguished international engineering societies, a well published author, keynote speaker, and the holder of 12 U.S. patents. Dr. Zhang holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
