Yanbin Li, Ph.D.

Before joining Bold Bio, Yanbin Li, Ph.D. was the Distinguished Professor of Biological Engineering and Tyson Endowed Chair in Biosensing Engineering at the University of Arkansas. He received his Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Engineering from Penn State University and he is a registered professional engineer in the state of Arkansas. Dr. Li’s expertise is in the areas of biosensing and biomodeling technologies. He develops innovative biosensors for detection of biological and chemical agents and predictive and risk assessment models for microbial hazard analysis. In particular, he is interested in nanomaterials-based biosensors for rapid detection of pathogenic bacteria and viruses in agricultural systems and food supply chains.

Dr. Li also has extensive experience working with industry partners in the US and globally. Finally, Dr. Li is a fellow of ASABE, AIMBE, CIGR and IBE, a senior member of IEEE and NAI, and an active member of AAAS, ASEE, IAFP, IFT, PSA, and SRA.
